Pune University provides MBA in Biotechnology course which is a 2 year full time course. The admission to the course is conducted by Department of Management Sciences (PUMBA), University of Pune. PUMBA was established in 1971. There are 60 seats in the MBA (Biotechnology) Program of Pune University. Pune University has been accredited with grade A with 5 stars by National Council of Assessment and Accreditation.

The candidates should also have earned a minimum of 50% in their Bachelor level degree. The candidate’s nationality as well as age is a matter of concern during the admission process. Furthermore, the candidates reserved status also is redeemed during the admission process. Candidates should also be mentally as well as physically balanced during the admission process.
Availability of Application Forms
The forms will be available in PUMBA Office. The form can also be obtained by post from PUMBA Office by sending a Demand Draft along with the request for form. The candidates that are interested in earning their application form through post have to send a requisite letter along with a specimen of their signature at the back side of the Demand Draft. The candidates are also advised to provide the registration number at the top of the letter.

Selection Criteria:

The School of Petroleum Management provides 2-year full time programme (Residential) leading to Masters in Business Administration (MBA). The programme is basically focused on energy and infrastructure sectors. The entire study of this course is designed to make students MBA+.These students become MBA, & also possess additional knowledge, which is sector specific.
Course Specification
The students would do 120 credit hours of coursework during this programme.
I-year course is generic in nature covering all foundation courses and functional courses needed in management, along with introductory courses on energy and infrastructure sectors as well as industrial visits.
II-year a student opts for either energy track or infrastructure track and would do track specific core and elective courses along with studying some free electives from the advance functional courses related to management. Since the energy sector is global in nature all the courses are taught from the global business perspective.

M.P. Professional examination board, Bhopal will conduct entrance tests for admission to AICTE approved MCA/MBA courses in institutions located in the state of Madhya Pradesh for the academic session 2011-12
Madhya Pradesh Professional Examination Board (VYAPAM) invites applications for Master of Computer Application Entrance (MCA) and Management Entrance Test (MET) 2011 for admission to 2 years (Four Semester) MBA, and allied courses (Full Time), 3 years (Six Semesters) MBA and Allied Courses (Part Time) and Master of Computer Application (MCA) (Full Time).

A candidate seeking admission to MBA and Allied Courses should be a Graduate or post Graduate with at least 50% marks (For example 750 marks obtained out of 1500 marks, rounding of marks or percentage will not be allowed) and 40% marks (For example 600 marks obtained out of 1500 marks, rounding of marks or percentage will not be allowed) in case of SC, ST, OBC (excluding Creamy Layer) category of Madhya Pradesh in aggregate of any UGC/ AICTE approved Indian University or from a foreign University recognized by Association of Indian Universities (AIU) or institute recognized by the concerned University as equivalent thereto.

MCA COURSE
A candidate seeking admission to MCA Course should be a Graduate of any UGC/AICTE approved Indian University or from a foreign University recognized by Association of Indian Universities (AIU) or institute recognized by the concerned University as equivalent thereto. The Bachelor’s degree must be of minimum three years duration in any discipline with Mathematics as compulsory or an additional subject at either Higher Secondary (10+2) or at Graduation level.
Candidates with Bachelor of Computer Application (B.C.A.) degree of minimum three years duration are also eligible for admission.
NOTE:
Candidates in the Final year of above degree examination can also appear in the MET-2011 test/ PreMCA-2011 test on provisional basis. But such a candidate shall have to produce the original certificate of having passed/mark sheet of the final year of the degree examination at the time of Counseling from the concerned University.

AIMS Test for Management Admissions (ATMA)
AIMS is an All India Association of Management Institutes and manage-ment departments of universities which brings together over 500 top management schools approved by AICTE. As a service to its member institutions, AIMS conducts the ATMA, a national test, which member Institutes can use for selection of students to the MBA / PGDM / PGDMB programmes. ATMA 2011 will be held on 20th February 2011.
